You would like to see your bridal editorial or your real wedding published on Adoré? Your submission has been rejected? Here are some tips:
- Adoré is a « fine art » wedding blog . I currently accept only a very few boho, rustic or modern weddings (I love them too, but I´d prefer to stick to my editorial line!). If your editorial / Styled shoot has a very strong boho/rustic or modern flair, it will probably be rejected.
- Exclusivity: Exclusivity is a major asset when it comes to publication! Be aware that I accept only a very few amounts of editorials/reals weddings which have been already published on other blogs.
- A too frequently seen color palette : 70% of shootings submitted on Adoré are in shades of pink, beige and / or apricot. I love those hues and couples love them too, and I willingly publish editorials and real weddings in those colors, however I cannot publish them all, otherwise it becomes too monotonous. I am also looking some diversity to give new ideas to couples.
- Not enough details : portraits of the couple or the bride should not exceed 20-30% of your selection. Don´t forget to include pictures of inspiring details: stationery, cake, table decoration, close-up of the jewelry, the bridal bouquet, the make-up, the hair-do…
The editorial submitted has many nice details, an inspiring color palette, yet it was rejected …
First of all, be sure that I always appreciate the interest you have for Adoré, I know that submitting an editorial is a lot of work and I am grateful that you chose my blog as the place to share it. I review each submission carefully. If your submission has been rejected, it´s probably because I think it won´t resonate with my readership! This obviously doesn´t call into question the quality of your work. I hope that you will consider submitting to other wedding blogs where your editorial will certainly shine! And if it is rejected this time, with all the tips you just read, the next might be accepted for publication? Feel free to submit again as soon as you want.
