Wedding in the Villa Ferdinanda
The "Villa of the hundred chimneys", as it is called "La Ferdinanda", is set in a breathtaking landscape in the most authentic heart of Tuscany and is the ideal location to host events in a charming setting. Built in 1596, it recalls even today the Renaissance splendor of the Medici family: each space has its own soul, its own history, marvelous decorations and a timeless charm. Civil or symbolic ceremonies can be organized inside and outside the Villa. One of the most beautiful villas in Tuscany for weddings! It is this breathtaking setting Hermione Tsentidou chose for this utterly romantic editorial, captured by fine art wedding photographer Hermione Tsentidou.

{ Tuscany romantic wedding } Dreaming is a color. It’s that pale green almost blue shade of morning mist moments before the sunrays dissolve everything into stardust. Maybe dreaming is Italy and walking with your lover through the vineyards on a summer night out of Florence. This romantic and delicate editorial was inspired by the mystical and fairytale atmosphere of Shakespeare’s “A midsummer night’s dream”, a play all about the ferocity of young love. We feel like the play was written for Tuscany and Artimino and we wanted to create how the wedding of Helena and Demetrius would look like. The fairies and their mischievous games, the lovers lost in the woods and the cruel games of fate on love. Four lovers, two complicated love stories and hearts that beat hoping on love. Dozens of candles lit in the dusk, flowers and breathtaking scenery, everything filled with summer promises!

The wedding stationery
The stationery was a work of art by Marco and Christina of Beautiful Letters. Hand-calligraphed on natural paper, the love letters, the invitations, the poems, and the name cards were an ode to effortless and r omantic simplicity. papeterie de mariage créée par Marco et Cristina de Beautiful Letters est imprimée sur un papier artisanal et calligraphiée à la main. Les lettres d´amour, les poèmes seront conservés précieusement, comme tous autant de témoins poétiques de cette journée.

The setting
Situated among the hills and the vineyards of Montalbano, Villa Ferdinada, the Villa of the Hundred Chimneys, was the perfect backdrop for our romantic editorial. The villa’s gardens were filled with dozens of Italian rose bushes, named “Juliet’s Roses” for their delicate petals. On this dreamy location, our darling Christina from Beautiful Letters created something magical! Our color palette was milk-white, blush, pink and lovely pops of burgundy – perfect for a summer wedding inspiration! The florals from Jardin Divers Floristi in Florence filled the Villa Ferdinada with their ethereal aromas and we were in love.

Moreover, the bespoke ceramic plates and candleholders we used for the table setting were handmade just for our shoot by Ceramiche Bucci, an Italian pottery shop whose designs are to die for! The blush pink plates were so beautiful and matched with our handmade iron flower name card holders! What? Iron name holders? Well, yes! We loved how the 3D name holders from Le Bianche Margherite made our concept multidimensional! Of course, copper cutlery was a must for our rose-colored table arrangement! Simply divine!

The Bride
The wedding dress by Andreia Cruz was the fairy-like element to our shoot. Sewn by hand and embellished with Swarovski crystals and marabou feathers, it was a sight for sore eyes. Its pale pink color matched the sky at dusk, making us swoon. In addition, Suely Menichetti created the best bridal makeup and hair adorned with pansies made of gold by Elibre! No wonder we imagined Helena in a dress like that and loose hair with flowers, running through the Tuscan vineyards to find her love.

The wedding cake
Minutes before the sunset it was time for cake and drinks. Our wedding cake: on the dessert table from Sugar Cups looked like a painting, full of buttercream flowers scattered delicately on it! Did you spot the hundreds of almonds dipped in cream and sugar? They were perfect! At the end of the night, our hearts were fluttering in delight. We used dozens of candles in the sunset, the view was magnificent, the sun setting behind the Tuscan hills painting our images in the colors of summer. We believed that it was impossible to be in love with Tuscany more than we already were but we were mistaken. Maybe Tuscany is the midsummer night’s dream.
