It is always a pleasure to feature the work of wedding planner Alison from AF Atelier : her creativity and her sense of aesthetics never cease to amaze me. Today, she offers us an editorial inspired by the Italian Renaissance and revisits one of Sandro Botticelli's greatest paintings: Primavera showing mythological characters from Antiquity in an orange grove. She mainly features the spring goddess Flora through several exquisite scenes captured by Mattie C Photography , a tribute to love and feminity.

The modern portrait of Flora, Goddess of Spring and Fertility

From Alison: We have recently done editorial shoot inspired by Botticelli’s Primavera Our shoot focused on Goddess Flora, the bride of Zephyrus and a goddess who represented the beginning of Spring bloom and fertility. She was surrounded by an orange grove with wild florals, that orange was also a significant background in the painting, which signified romance and divine love.
